Jesus Christ. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jesus Christ. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The name Jesus is derived from Joshua’s Old Testament name, which means, “Yahweh God is salvation.” <\/span><\/span><\/span>The title Christ means one chosen and anointed by God to be the Messiah who delivers God’s people. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Roughly two thousand years ago, Jesus was born in a dumpy, rural, hick town, not unlike today where guys change their own oil, think for wrestling is real, find women who chew tobacco sexy, and eat a lot of hot pockets with their uncle-daddy. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jesus’ Mom Was A Poor, Unwanted Teenage Girl Who Was Mocked For Claiming She Conceived Through The Holy Spirit. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Most people thought she was concocted by a crazy story to cover the \u201cfact\u201d she was knocking boots with some guy in the backseat of a car at the prom.<\/span><\/span><\/span>Jesus was adopted by a simple carpenter named Joseph and spent the first thirty years of his life in obscurity, swinging a hammer with his dad. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Around the Age of Thirty, Jesus began a public minister that included preaching, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and befriending social misfits such as perverts, drunks, and thieves.<\/span><\/span><\/span>Jesus’ ministers spanned only three short years before he was put to death for declaring himself to be God. <\/span>He died by shameful crucifixion like tens of thousands of people before and after him. <\/span>At first glance, Jesus’ r\u00e9sum\u00e9 is rather simple. <\/span>He never traveled more than a few hundred miles from his home. <\/span>He never held a political office, never wrote a book, never married, never had sex, never attended college, never visited a big city, and never won a poker tournament. <\/span>He died both homeless and poor. <\/span>Nonetheless, Jesus is the most famous person in all of human history. <\/span>More songs have been sung to him, artwork created of him, and books written about him than anyone who has ever lived. <\/span>In fact, Jesus looms so large over human history that we actually measure time by him; <\/span>Our calendar is divided into years before and after his birth, <\/span>noted as BC (\u201cbefore Christ\u201d) and ad (anno Domini, meaning \u201cin the year of the Lord\u201d), respectively. <\/span>No army, nation, or person has changed human history to the degree that Jesus, the homeless man, has. <\/span>Some two thousand years after he walked the earth, Jesus remains as hot as ever. <\/span>In fact, as Paul promised in 2 Corinthians 11: 3-4, the opinions about Jesus are countless in seemingly every area of \u200b\u200bculture.<\/span><\/span>
JESUS \u200b\u200bOF POP CULTURE<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

On television, Jesus often appears on the long-running animation hits The Simpsons and South Park. <\/span>Jesus also appears in the comedic sketches of vulgar comic Carlos Mencia’s hit show of Mind of Mencia, which explores everything from what it would have been like for Jesus to be married in his royal religious wrestling rumble with founders of other major world religions . <\/span>Dog Bounty <\/span>Jesus even appears on a 110 foot, <\/span>750-pound hot-air balloon, monster truck, and innumerable tattoos. <\/span>In the world of poker, Phil Gordon said, \u201cEven Jesus wouldn’t bet all his chips on a Jack-three!\u201d 1 Musically, everyone from Kanye West’s rapper The Killers, punk rockers Green Day, American Idol country- Crooner Carrie Underwood and the world top band, U2, are
