{"id":9753,"date":"2026-07-23T19:23:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T17:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/predication.net\/?p=9753"},"modified":"2026-07-23T20:21:47","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T18:21:47","slug":"17-sunday-in-year-a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/predication.net\/?p=9753","title":{"rendered":"17.Sunday in Year A"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In today\u00b4s Gospel Jesus gives us short parables\u00a0 about the<\/strong> <strong>Kingdom <\/strong>of\u00a0<strong>Heaven.They are simple images -a treasure\u00a0 hidden in\u00a0 a field a merchant searching for a priceless pearl,a net gathering fish,and\u00a0 a scribe who brings out treasures both old and new.Yet these brief stories containt a profound message for every\u00a0 Christian.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jesus tels us that the\u00a0 Kingdom of Heaveb is a like a treasure hidden in\u00a0 a field. A man discovers it hides\u00a0 it again\u00a0 and then, filled with\u00a0 joy , seils everythings he owns\u00a0 in order to\u00a0 buy that field. Notice that Jesus emphasizes the man\u00b4s joy. He does not\u00a0 sell everything because he is forced\u00a0 to . He does\u00a0 it gladly\u00a0 because\u00a0 he\u00a0 knows he has found\u00a0 something far\u00a0 more valuable than everything he possesses. <\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Kingdom of God is that\u00a0 treasure. It is a life lived with Christ. It is a forgiveness peace\u00a0 of heart,hope in suffering ,and eternal life.Many\u00a0 prople\u00a0 spend\u00a0 theit whole lives searching for happiness in wealt, succes,power ,or pleasure ,yet theit hearts remains restless.Only Christ can satisfy\u00a0 the deepest longing of the\u00a0 human heart. <\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The merchant searching for\u00a0 fine pearls\u00a0 represents those who sincerely seek truth. When\u00a0 he finaly finds the pearl of great\u00a0 value, he immediately sells everything to obtain it. Many people are\u00a0 searching\u00a0 today. Some seek meaning in science philosophy,careers , relationships,or travel.These things have their place,but none\u00a0 can replace God. When a person truly\u00a0 encounters Jesus Christ, he discovers\u00a0 the greatest treasure imaginale. The saints understood this. They left behind comfort ,wealth ,and even their lives because they had\u00a0 found\u00a0 something infitely greater friendship with Christ. <\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>God\u00b4s invitation is universal. Everyone\u00a0 is called into His Kindom. Yet not everyone accepts His\u00a0 grace or remains\u00a0 faithful to it. God is infetely merciful, but also respects our freedom. Our daily choices matter. Every act of love forgiveness, honesty and faithfulness prepares us for eternity.Finaly Jesus speaks about the scribe who has become a disciple of the Kingdom. Such a person brings out of\u00a0 his treasure what is old and what is\u00a0 new. <\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>As Christians,we treasure the ancient faith handed down tgrough Scripture and the Church. Yet that faith is never outdated. The eternal Gospel speaks with\u00a0 fresh power to every generation and to every new challenge we face.
