Man has a reason, thus penetrating to the core of reality.
Not only does he see, he hears, but he can say, “This is …” European philosophy firmly believes that man can know reality and that everything that exists is recognizable by reason. (It’s intelligent). God is the supreme reality, the first, and, in a sense, the only word. So can it be known by reason? The answer to scholastic philosophy is quite simple: the infinite God can be fully known and fully understood by reason, but by endless cause, i. j. God knows himself. The human mind, which is partial, knows God only partially. We can prove that it exists; we can make a kind of picture of its perfection by analogy with created things. The problem of intellectual knowledge and faith is discussed most in the so-called apologetics, which used to be an introductory part of theology. Spiritual writers encounter the issue of mental experience in two sections. When they warn before the whims of rationalism (cf. p. 27) and when they speak of meditation, knowing God in everything. It is said, and there is a bit of truth in it, that asceticism deals hard with the negative side of reason and thus awakens the impression that the most important thing was not to abuse him. Praises as we read in Following Christ, “a more humble prostitute than a proud sage.” This one-sidedness will explain
THAT LIFE IS THE LIGHT OF PEOPLE
Also, the scholastic system of education was philosophical-theological, when much mental power was devoted to the culture of reason. No wonder, then, those who spoke of perfection
in Christ, pointed to the danger of excessive mental tension and that they also defended the greatness of those who could not study.
Today the situation is somewhat different. There is instead the danger of sentimentalism, crowd psychosis, film illusions, etc. It is good to emphasise one’s duty to exercise common sense, calm balance, and objective consideration for and against. People know a lot today, but that does not mean they think correctly. Teofán Zatvornik writes sharply against wild swarms who pretend to be idealists and sometimes even piously “captivated”: “Life according to God’s will is an intelligent life … The light of truth and purity, holiness, and integrity are two aspects of my inner spiritual transformation. To understand the commandment, all Christian truths must be known. Everyone can think. So let them use these abilities for things.
Seriously, to know the facts. » The goal of thinking is, however, to come to know God. And eternal life is in it, they have known you, the only true God, and the one you are sent, Jesus Christ (John 17: 3). However, spiritual authors speak a lot about this knowledge, exploring it more deeply. Greek writers generally call it«Physical theory», a meditation on nature. The meaning of the visible world. The beginning of human knowledge and wisdom is observing the world and nature. The first writings of ancient philosophers have the title «About Nature». However, these were not romantic explanations of beautiful bays, mountains, and skies. It wasn’t even “natural”.
The Light of Reason and God’s Enlightenment, the letter »in the modern sense. The main point was to capture the principle that unites everything, that it supplies unity, which makes so many diverse, unequal natural phenomena and things one organised world, the universe, cosmos. However, philosophical schools were not in agreement on seeking this uniform principle. To the old materialists
Water was enough for Thales of Millets: everything came from that.
it circulates in plants and animals; into the water again, everything will return. Aristotle, on the other hand, has everything that is material.
This principle encompasses decay, death, and disunity. It is necessary to search in
spiritual things, not just the visible surface. ‘Spiritual’ is a concept, definition, or idea. We look at nature to understand the idea here: the government.
Christians have had a similar attitude towards nature from the beginning. What else does Christ want to say when he points to the lilies of the field and the birds (cf. Mt 6:28)? He wants to remind them.
something much higher than their visible beauty; they mean to provide an opportunity to reflect, to reflect on Heavenly Father.
For St Basil, the whole visible world is the word spoken in creation. It is up to us to understand its meaning, the meaning that the Creator gave him when he spoke and said, Become. God made all of nature. A school for souls, for those who seek the wisdom of God, hidden in everything, even in the smallest things, in work six days, that is, in the whole creation of the world. Greek word is logos. Nemesis uses a cute word, too: “Nothing is illogical (a lie). “Everything we see and hear has something to say to us.
So now, it is about understanding the meaning correctly: everything that surrounds us. In speech, they do not understand those they listen to; they listen to the outside sound, don’t care who speaks, and aren’t interested in what he says. The incomprehension of the language of nature is called sin. It’s the use of things of this world no matter what God intends for them. The Christian should strive for a real understanding of the world, plants, animals, things, man and his history, all that which is visible and what surrounds us. The Greek Fathers gave a unique name for this effort: physical theory, meditation on nature. He who has trained in it knows what everything
Which he meets, for him, means salvation.

Ability to knowThe animal recognises sensory mass impressions.
