Sunday in year A Mt 13, 44-52"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Introduction<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today we will hear parables about the treasure in the field and the precious pearl. In the parable of the treasure in the field, it is important to know, that in the time of Jesus there are many stories of treasures hidden in the fields. These were\u00a0 the times when\u00a0 wars were enough to catch up and people\u00a0 had to\u00a0 flee in hurry to save\u00a0 their lives If\u00a0 they had any\u00a0 valuables they often buried\u00a0 them in their\u00a0 fields in the hope that\u00a0 when\u00a0 they returned\u00a0 they\u00a0 would\u00a0 find\u00a0 them\u00a0 there. Often, however, this\u00a0 did\u00a0 not happen. The original owner did not\u00a0 return for some\u00a0 reason, so his\u00a0 field fell to someone\u00a0 else. He knew nothing about\u00a0 the\u00a0 treasure. Suppose the case in the gospel was of this type. One day a man was walking by, who happened\u00a0 to notice\u00a0 something. Something suggested that treasure\u00a0 was buried in the field. So he sold\u00a0 everything he had and bought the\u00a0 field\u00a0 from\u00a0 its owner. As for the second parable, the precious pearl, it should\u00a0 be\u00a0 noted, that\u00a0 for\u00a0 the people\u00a0 of the East,\u00a0 the pearl\u00a0 was\u00a0 the most\u00a0 valuable thing\u00a0 in the world, they are\u00a0 even more\u00a0 valuable than\u00a0 a diamond. What could these\u00a0 two parables mean to us. Imagine, what\u00a0 your\u00a0 neigbors\u00a0 what think\u00a0 about you, if they so, that\u00a0 you\u00a0 really sold\u00a0 everything\u00a0 you had,even pots, pans\u00a0 dresses\u00a0 \u00a0clothes, furniture. And you would have\u00a0 nothing\u00a0 left just to buy\u00a0 a field\u00a0 that looks like any\u00a0 other\u00a0 field.They would\u00a0 probably think you\u00a0 lost your mind. Jesus says\u00a0 that anyone who discovers\u00a0 the\u00a0 value of\u00a0 God&#8217;s kingdom has\u00a0 found\u00a0 a great\u00a0 treasure. And\u00a0 if\u00a0 he really discovers it and will be really\u00a0 convinced\u00a0 of\u00a0 its\u00a0 value, than he will do things that\u00a0 in the eyes\u00a0 of his\u00a0 surroundings will seem\u00a0 as if\u00a0 he have\u00a0 really\u00a0 lost his mind. God&#8217;s kingdom will become number\u00a0 one thing for him, and\u00a0 everything\u00a0 else will\u00a0 lose value\u00a0 him. What would you think of an\u00a0 entrepreneur\u00a0 who gave\u00a0 up everything\u00a0 he\u00a0 earned\u00a0 so\u00a0 hard\u00a0 and\u00a0 distributed\u00a0 it\u00a0 to poor\u00a0 people. What did people think\u00a0 of the\u00a0 \u00a0succesfull Manchester United player Philip Mulryne, who left\u00a0 his\u00a0 sports carrer years ago, became\u00a0 a Dominican\u00a0 and 39\u00a0 yers &#8211; old priest. Surely\u00a0 they would\u00a0 have\u00a0 thought\u00a0 of these\u00a0 people or skipped\u00a0 or\u00a0 found\u00a0 \u00a0something\u00a0 of\u00a0 such value\u00a0 to them\u00a0 that\u00a0 it was\u00a0 \u00a0not difficult\u00a0 for them to\u00a0 leave\u00a0 what they\u00a0 had\u00a0 and\u00a0 did before. To those\u00a0 who\u00a0 have\u00a0 not\u00a0 yet\u00a0 discovered\u00a0 Christ many subsequent\u00a0 Christians\u00a0 may seem like\u00a0 not\u00a0 quite\u00a0 normal\u00a0 people. Not only that. Many were\u00a0 willing\u00a0 to\u00a0 even\u00a0 lay down\u00a0 their\u00a0 lives\u00a0 for\u00a0 faith or spend\u00a0 years\u00a0 in prison. No, this\u00a0 people\u00a0 have lost their minds. There\u00a0 was\u00a0 a burning\u00a0 love\u00a0 for\u00a0 Christ\u00a0 and his\u00a0 kingdom, which\u00a0 they\u00a0 \u00a0considered\u00a0 the most\u00a0 precious\u00a0 thing\u00a0 in the\u00a0 world. How\u00a0 is it with us? Have\u00a0 we\u00a0 found\u00a0 Christ\u00a0 too?\u00a0 If yes, what\u00a0 have we given up\u00a0 for\u00a0 him? Why do many\u00a0 of us\u00a0 Christians\u00a0 so\u00a0 easily\u00a0 abandon our principles, even your faith?\u00a0 When\u00a0 money starts\u00a0 \u00a0to be\u00a0 in the\u00a0 game, higher\u00a0 position, or other\u00a0 benefits.It&#8217;s just\u00a0 out\u00a0 of\u00a0 weakness? Or\u00a0 it&#8217; s\u00a0 because, we never\u00a0 really\u00a0 \u00a0 knew\u00a0 the value of the\u00a0 treasure\u00a0 we had. We\u00a0 may be asking, how\u00a0 \u00a0to\u00a0 recognize where\u00a0 or in what\u00a0 the treasure is? Between the parable\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 treasure\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 \u00a0field\u00a0 and\u00a0 \u00a0the\u00a0 \u00a0pearl\u00a0 though\u00a0 are similar, there are also differences between them. The main one\u00a0 is this..\u00a0 The treasure in the field was\u00a0 found\u00a0 by\u00a0 chance, the pearl\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 contrary\u00a0 after\u00a0 a long\u00a0 search. The\u00a0 first\u00a0 was the\u00a0 result\u00a0 of\u00a0 happiness, the\u00a0 second the\u00a0 \u00a0result of\u00a0 effort\u00a0 \u00a0and\u00a0 diligence . It means\u00a0 that\u00a0 finding\u00a0 \u00a0the\u00a0 treasure\u00a0 is\u00a0 God&#8217;s\u00a0 gift, but\u00a0 it cannot be done without\u00a0 our\u00a0 efforts. Who is\u00a0 happy,\u00a0 whit what\u00a0 \u00a0he has, barely\u00a0 discovers\u00a0 \u00a0the\u00a0 value\u00a0 of\u00a0 \u00a0God&#8217;s kingdom.
