How often do we pray?

How often do we pray they are godlike people who still have a rosary in their hands, they tend to long in the church. Others, on the contrary, say that it is better to pray less, but well. Which opinion is more correct? We indeed read in the biography of how long the saints were praying. Hol. Anton Hermit was praying all night and read the rising Sun that almost distractions him. The old monks have dedicated the entire pup daily. However, it is noted by the serious authors that such a way of prayer is not for everyone. Suarez reprimant to not multiply prayers into such a number until they would interfere with each other and could not be done only if quickly. According to John Kronstad, it is often that there are sometimes only a few short minutes to pray for too long prayers. Very wisely, it builds on the problem of holy Thomas Aquino: «For each case, the length should be proportionate to the objective,
similar to the amount of food health. When this rate is fulfilling, it is impossible to continue without boredom. Prayer cannot be extended any longer. »
Pray without ceasing! It is difficult to object to such a reasoned opinion. And yet it seems contrary to Scripture. There we read that we should always pray. In a letter to the Thessalonians, St. Paul: Pray without ceasing, give thanks for everything, for it is God’s will in Christ Jesus for you! (1 Sol 5: 17-18). We would be inclined to take these texts as oriental exaggerations. Interestingly, none of the old exegetes took it that way. Everyone is firmly convinced that a Christian must genuinely pray without ceasing. They ask, of course, how this clear example of the Gospel could be realized. She interpreted the words of the Scripture, too—Mescaline or Euchites («religious,» you could say in Slovak). If we are to keep praying, it is not a perfect Christian to work. Let only ordinary people work. The saint follows Mary, not Martha (cf. Luke 10: 38-42), as they said. It is written in the Biographies of the Holy Fathers that one of them came to Abbot Silván and wondered that he was working. Silvan gave him a spiritual book, but he didn’t call him for dinner. “When praying as an angel, let him not as an angel,” he added for explanation. In Constantinople, they found a solution that was easier to implement in the Ace mite Monastery. They divided Munich into three groups. Some slept, others worked, and ate, the third prayed. After a set period of time, they were replaced. So, it happened that the temple was sung and prayed all day and all night.then they gave the monks a name, never sleeping. Even Abbot Lucian thought in the Fathers’ lives that he would solve similar questions of constant prayer. He worked manually, reciting the psalms. From the profits of work, he gave an alms giver who prayed for him while he was asleep. Obviously, these efforts show a lot of goodwill, but they do not provide an excellent solution to the problem. The scriptures do not say that people, society, the monastery should pray without ceasing, but each individual alone. The only possible answer to this question is that Origin gave in his book About prayer: «He constantly prays who associates prayer with good works …» The word «prayer» must be taken in a broader sense. Everything we do according to God’s will elevate us to God. Giving up prayer texts is only a part, though excellent and essential, of a great “life” prayer. In this spirit also wrote St. Augustine Written About the Work of Munich. It refutes the messianic theory that the monk should only keep praying. Just let it work; this is also a good prayer. In response to this doctrine, the Benedictine motto is known: «Ora et labor, pray and work!
