In the Church, the Spirit creates “Christ-like people.”

When the fullness of time came, the Savior was born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary; God appeared in the human body. However, his birth mystically extends into all centuries. Christ becomes present again by the action of the Spirit, and Mary; the Church holds the office. In this way, theologians claim, the Spirit continues in history; he “takes upon himself the image of Christ.” He transforms the Eucharistic bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ, through the words of the priest in the sacrament of reconciliation he forgives sins, the only Spirit with the Lord and in general, in all the sacraments, in the liturgy, in prayers, he sanctifies the people and the world. How could the successors of the apostles apply Jesus’ words to those who hear you, he hears me (cf. Luke 10:16) if he was not in their words.
The Spirit of Christ?
But even ordinary believers deserve the title “God’s people” for
the gift of the same Spirit. At baptism, both are born spiritually
Children of God from the water and the Holy Spirit. Any ancient
the formula of the sanctification of baptismal water is pronounced this
Prayer: “This water that you have prepared to take in it the people were born again, may the Holy Spirit give fertility by entering it mysteriously. From this a new breed (God’s people) will emerge
conceived in holiness, reborn to become new “Believers are bearers of the church tradition. The council insists on the expression that through the Church is Christ becomes visible over the centuries. Church structures are human and material but penetrated by the Spirit; they become the visible “body of Christ.”
Transforming the universe
On Mount At hos, there was a school for a sacred painter’s art. After the apprenticeship, the candidate had to submit a picture as proof of his craft. The theme was always the same: the transformation of the Lord into Mount Tabor. The aim of the test was precise: the painter had to prove his ability to see the world no.

Do you know the Holy Spirit?
Worldly eyes, but in a way that the three apostles saw him during the Transfiguration. It was a vision that was a kind of foretaste of the future world after the resurrection of the dead. As the spiritual authors explained this gospel scene, they asked: what changed when the apostle did they have this revelation? The term “transformation” is not accurate. Jesus did not change his “figure,” his form. He would
he was not; they would not have known him. But that has changed
light, appeared enlightened. Of course, this is not possible either
understood in the material sense as if he were irradiated spotlights. It was a spiritual light that illuminated the whole creation, the “Tabor light,” as the Byzantine monks called them. In this light, everything was seen changed. This light is the effect of the Holy Spirit – the En lightener. The Eastern theologian V. Lossky writes about him: “Consciousness the fullness of the Holy Spirit given to each member
church according to the extent of it on personal exaltation, gives
to disappear into the darkness of death, from the fear of judgment, from the abyss of hell, to focus his gaze only on the Lord, which comes in glory. This joy of resurrection and of eternal life, which makes the Easter night the ‘feast of faith’ in which everyone participates is nothing else than a small momentary participation in the fullness of the eighth a day which shall have no end. ” Breathtaking phenomena that are told in biographies saints show that the saints already lived in a state of transformation.
