Sermon

Maybe they know the tale of Mark Twain Prince and Poor. Perhaps history is made up, maybe really. The fairy tale is about two boys. One was Eduard Tudor; the other was Tom Candy. Eduard was born in a royal family. As a member of the royal family, he enjoys all the privileges and advantages. On the other side, Tom was born into a low-income family. Tom was a smart boy, and that’s why he learned to read. He mainly read a story about kings. One day he said. I want to visit the royal palace. When he got there, he saw Prince Eduard in full regal attire. Tom was delighted. But then he was grabbed by a soldier who guarded the there and led him away. Eduard chose Tom and invited him to visit the royal palace. When they play together, they make fun of them feel like they can not change clothes? They were indistinguishable alike. The story will evolve dramatically. Eduard getting dressed in Tom beggarly clothes is going to reprimand the soldier. Because he behaved aggression against The soldier, however, he could not stand that and thinking that he is Tom drove him out of the castle. Tom Canty is now the prince and Eduard Tudor, the poor devil. He tries to explain to someone that he is Prince Eduard. From the people, he gets only scorn and contempt.

Eduard, now the poor, now begins to learn what it means to be reduced. He looks forward to the days when he is crowned King of England. This story fits into today’s Christ, the King party. What Mark Twain is an imagined story is the reality for Christ the King. Jesus Christs is the true King of all creation. But when he comes into this world, men do not recognize him as King. Now he lives like a poor person, without privileges. His life ended up in ridicule, contempt, and cruel death. Christ was the real King. Was appropriated by the people whom the King only pretended to be. These people had no idea what King meant. The first, who did not recognize the true King, was King Herod. Herod longed to see Jesus and determine who Jesus really is, But his eyes were corrupted to recognize Jesus . He left a note on the board. He did write down the tablet Jesus of Nazareth King of Jews. The inscription was not mockery rather than the recognition of the true King. Pilate was sarcastic. This inscription was rather the mockery than the acknowledgment of Jesus as the true King. Even the superior men did not recognize Jesus as King. The Gospel speaks that they mock him. The senior men were the ones they thought were powerful and influential. It was the people who, because of their delusion, that they are powerful, we’re unable to recognize the one who is the source of every power. Even the soldiers were unable to recognize the true King. In their opinion, Jesus was all possible only not by the King. The words that they addressed to Jesus are proof that they had no idea what it meant to be King. Jesus is not the King, who thinks of himself to his rescue.

On the contrary he is the King who is a thing to save the others. Is there anyone in the Gospel who recognized the right King. Yes there is. That’s the criminal on his right. We do not know anything about this person. Where he came from. But what we know about him is. That he was the only one who recognized Jesus as King. Remember the words that this criminal said to the Lord Jesus, Sir remember me when you come to your kingdom. This place in the Gospel is very important. How can we explain that those who become aware that they need mercy are capable of recognizing the true King? And how did the story of the story Eduard and end? After all, what Prince Eduard experienced and suffered, he manages to reverse . At the last moment he came to Westminster Abbey where the coronation was taking place. The Archbishop wanted to place the crown on Tom Cant’s head. I’m the King screamed Eduard. The crowd became rigid. At this moment, something inside Tom Cant will change, and he joins the page Eduard and the group and Archbishop convinced that not he, but Eduard is a real prince. Eduard was then crowned and sat on the royal throne. It is said he ruled for a long time, and he was the King, who was wise, compassionate, kind, and just. Let us be as soon as possible that Jesus’s kingdom of love, justice, and mercy will come.
