Fift Sunday in Ordinary Time Mk 1,29-39
Jesus’ healing power (Mark 1: 29-39)
Let us believe in the power of Jesus’ healing.
Dear brothers and sisters! Each of us has overcome disease in life. How did it affect my inside? I accepted her, or I muttered, why am I the person she struck? What does Jesus do when he meets a sick person?
“He approached her, grabbed her arm, and picked her up. The fever left her, and she served them ”(Mark 1:31).
Peter’s mother-in-law is strapped to the bed. Sometimes illness can cause those we have served to have to serve us now. It does not have to be just a physical illness, but also a mental illness when one feels anxious and suffering. We are to ask the best doctor, Jesus, not only for ourselves but also for our physical and mental healing and those who need it even more. This requires a sincere request, humble, which is perhaps the best cure for fever. It is to be based on a pure heart, full of love.
It is worth remembering the words of the Lord Jesus: “Whatever you did to one of my least, you did to me.” He is given to us in sacrifice as an example worthy of following. Of course, it should be a matter to help the sick and suffering in the area, which few people remember. We will also be rewarded for a glass of water served out of love, so let us be attentive and kind to those who depend on others. All it takes is a little effort and sincere effort to make a person feel love and new motivation for life. We have many examples of healing in Scripture – a woman who touched the rim of Jesus’ robe, a servant of centuries.
The Lord Jesus comes to this earth to help us so that we can heal diseases among men. We feel the need to heal the world in its relationships, how we like it when we meet a person who loves others when we meet with cordiality towards us, how we don’t like it when someone wants to dose heartiness in drops. The cordiality dosed in drops kills and destroys the joy. We must completely and spontaneously show interest in the man in our love. She is the best cure for the disease. It requires strong faith. She is true and illuminates our mind, protecting it from error. He heals our wounds and remnants of inherited sin, making us inclined to get out of the way easily. Sometimes illness is necessary for our spiritual growth. Here it is always important to examine God’s will. Jesus first reveals his power in the New Testament by miraculous healing, so they brought to him the sick and possessed by evil spirits, and he healed them. He manifests his power over pain by giving it a new meaning in the kingdom of God. But the best answer to the mystery of pain is given by Jesus by his torture and death on the cross. Through pain and suffering, the Father calls us into his love.
Someone is on his way from Jerusalem to Jericho. He is waiting for someone to show him mercy. Someone is heading to Golgotha. He fell; he’s half-dead. He is waiting for someone to help him carry the burden. Many lie on the roads injured, abandoned, lost, half dead. They follow the paths of the astray, resigned, helpless, waiting. Neighbors wait and seek in our ways those who believe, hope, and love. Here one on the way brings bread. Bread for you. Bread forgiving, for healing, bread for life. The bread of life. Someone is on the way – God for you, for us. For salvation, for healing, for life. God doctor, God-life. One thing is certain: in suffering, disease one recognizes that one does not have the keys to the mystery of life and death in my hands; the pain refers him to Someone Bigger. A painful question is a special way to talk to God.
At the hospital visit, the priest asks an elderly sick woman, “How are you?” The lady replies: “Hard, very bad.” – “What’s wrong with you? What’s bothering you?” – “My children haven’t been with me for over five weeks.” her children ignore her.
Often when we give the patient medicine, he says, “Give me your hand!” He wants the healing of his body and the healing of his life, his soul.
When Mother Teresa came to Czechoslovakia, two newlyweds came to see her give her a large sum of money. She asked them, “Don’t you need money?” – “Mother Teresa, we are happy. Some people don’t like each other and can’t love each other, whether for hunger or misery. “Then the young people said,” We decided to give all the wedding gifts to the poor, the suffering and the sick. “
Lord, you are also in charge of the people’s well-being, in your son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit you want to heal us. Please help us to be less selfish and realize that the treatment of human well-being is not allowed only in a drop. Help those who do not rule, are exploited, abused in their surroundings, let them not suffer, and give us the strength to be doctors of warm, pleasant coexistence. Each of us can make medicines for goodness and love and can test our medical abilities in this way.
Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, who loves all and does not forget anyone, we make prayers to you for all your creation and all your children. We remember all those on whom you placed the cross of suffering, physical illness, and weakness.FTP all who are without relatives and friends, to all who are troubled by the suffering or sin of those they love, to all who have been affected by the loss, to find security and peace in you in the dark days. For all who are immersed in their sorrows, we ask you to begin to share their worries with their brothers and to know the mysterious and blessed communion of the cross. Furthermore, we ask you for all who are lonely and sad in the midst of others’ joy to know you as their Friend and Comforter. Remember all who walk through the valley of the shadows to know that the risen Christ is with them and that he is the light even in the evening.
