The Four Dimensions of the Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation has four dimensions. I want to address my priest brothers here because we priests often do not take these four dimensions of the sacrament into account, but focus only on one.
Forgiveness The first, most common dimension we know most about is forgiveness. This is when Jesus tells us, “Let me forgive you.” We have already said enough about what we can take from the Sacrament of Reconciliation. But the most important thing is to distinguish, to recognize that we are healthy sinners, not sinners mentally ill or When we go to the Sacrament of Atonement, we go there to be forgiven of sins. Now I want to tell you something very important: “Please believe that when you go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, your sins are already forgiven.” Very often I hear questions like, “Did God really forgive me?” Please, put it aside, God forgives you.
Healing A person who comes to the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a wounded man who is often not enough to forgive sins, but to pray for his healing. He also suffers from the oppression of the devil, which means that the evil spirit attacks him in the weak area of his personality. We see it on ourselves. When we go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we decide that we will never commit a certain weakness again, but then there will be times when we realize again that we are powerless. We often say that we can walk in Jesus, that we can avoid almost all sins, but there is a sin over which we have no power. Perhaps the most beautiful moment of the sacrament of Atonement occurs when the priest prays for us to be healed in this area. This is especially effective when we go to the same priest who knows us and can help us discover our weaknesses, which the evil spirit oppresses.
Liberation There is a third dimension when Jesus tells us, “Allow me to deliver you from all evil spirits.” who have been associated with occultism, spirituality, satanism, or have been in groups that we will talk about later, and often need to be free from the evil spirit in them as a result of the experience they have been involved in. to reject the evil spirit within himself and invite Jesus to the area of his personality that had previously been oppressed by the evil spirit.
Strengthening Then there is a fourth dimension that looks into the future. The Lord says to man, “Let me strengthen you.” We ask the Holy Spirit to enter into the weak areas of man and strengthen him for the future. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation we distinguish four dimensions. The Lord gradually tells man: Let me forgive you. Let me heal you – Let me liberate you – Let me strengthen you Reconciliation as a sacrament is a wonderful experience It is a meeting with the Father that embraces us We must not look at her as something that If we are not happy after our confession of sins, then we really miss something because meeting Jesus who forgives us brings great joy. This is always an experience that we love very much, let us thank God for the sacrament he has given us. Unfortunately, many see the sacraments as a very difficult element of the Catholic religion, but the people who live their Catholic religion thank Jesus with whom they can meet.
