Jesus heals those who ask him to do so
Pray with faith for healing1.
Did each of us has had an illness in life? Some were light, others more difficult. It very much depends on how one accepts it. A great example in this we can be the lives of saints who have been and are role models for us. Everyone made it; they touched, healed.
Today’s gospel tells us about Jesus’ healing in Genesis. When Jesus came to the shore with his disciples, many of the sick came together,
who longed to be healed. “All that touched him were healed” (Mark 6:56). Sometimes we can envy the faith of these people who consider themselves great problems came to the place to feel the touch of God’s love and mercy. We do not know how many people have felt the healing power of Jesus, but we know about the great trust of these brothers and sisters in God’s power. Sometimes I ask myself: Where is he? Your faith? The Lord tells us: Whatever two or three you ask in mine me, you get it! Even today, it is necessary to surrender to God and receive His will completely. Not all who ask whether for themselves or their neighbors, are hearing. Let’s try to think why. Humans are sometimes like Jesus; we only need it when, figuratively speaking, it flows into our shoes. When we prosper, as if we have forgotten the one who is the master of our lives, and we walk our own paths. He sees in his providence into our hearts and knows whether healing is ours will help, or we will abuse it and start living worse than before.
Well-known Italian Capuchin Raniero Cantalamessa, who has been dedicated since 1980 to preaching and evangelism in Italy and other countries, speaks of healing: For healing, and we have only two ways to solve our problems: nature and grace. Nature is science, progress, medicine, technology, and all the resources that man received from God in creation. Grace is faith and sometimes attains from God healing and wonders, for all power belongs to God. But when you are, we will choose the third way, the way of occult forces hiding from God, without his blessings or directly abusing his name and his signs, for example, images of some saints then enters the scene of the lord and guide of the third the person who once said that all power on earth belongs to him and that he will give it to him, who will worship him. Encouraged by today’s gospel, let us try to desire even more and to a greater extent not only after physical but also after spiritual healing. That’s all to be built on the deep trust, prayer, love, and faith that is the essence of ours everyday life. Let us ask for this at this Holy Mass, not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones at home.
