30. Sunday C Lk 18,10-13
You know people’s wisdom when two of them do the same thing, it’s not the same. In today’s Gospel two people do the same, prayers. But Jesus does not value their prayer equally. Dear was God only the prayer of a mythical.
Sermon
The Pharisee put himself and his deeds in the center of prayer. He introduced God to the catalog of all his virtues. He was convinced that when he saw them, God must see them Must admire them and appreciate them. But the opposite was true. In this prayer the Pharisees discovered himself but lost God. Because no, for whom the goal is self perfection cannot find God. For such a man shakes his hand and works with pride., who is God’s greatest enemy. Customs found nothing but sin. Therefore, ask God to be merciful to me ,sinners. According to him, God had nothing to admire in his life. But precisely because realizing your sinfulness, your emptiness could have entered in his love God. A sinner handed his hand with humanities and regret , which are the most beautiful humanity for God. An ancient legend tells of a young woman who knocks on heavenly gate after her death. But no one opens her, for she has done many bad deeds during her life. But shine for her hope. But shine for her hope. He will go to heaven on condition that he returns to earth and finds there a gift that is God’s dearest. She returned to the ground and began to look for such a gift. What can it be? One day she passed a man who laid down his life for faith. She quickly took a drop of hid blood. She was convinced of the best gift for God is that if someone puts his life for faith. But the gate of heaven did not open for her. So she searched further. She found a weary missionary, whom sweet dripping from his forehead. And so she took sweat drops from the missionary’s face and brought them to the heavenly gate. She thought it would surely be the most beautiful gift to God when someone sacrificed his life in the service of the Gospel. But the gate still didn’t open. She went back to the ground looking for more. She came to a fountain and thought about what to do next. Children were playing at the fountain a saw their innocent faces. Suddenly, a man came to the fountain. He jumped off his horse and wanted to drink water. He looked at the children and remembered his childhood. Then he looked into the water and saw his ruined face. He realized how far he had gone from childhood innocence, how you had sinned his life. There was a great pain in his heart and tears began to flow down his face. The women quickly took one tear and carried it in front of the heavenly gate, which opened immediately. One priest remembers preaching about the proud Pharisees and the humble customs. Disciple she liked. After the Holy Mass one believer went to the sacristy, thanking him for good discipline and said.I thank God that I do not resemble the Pharisees. When he came to the top he waited for God to show him. But he never saw him. He was unhappy about it. In that he heard a voice from heaven. Why are you hiding behind that huge pitcher? Sir I brought you this nice pitcher. It contains all my prayers, sacrifices. Throw it away, in any case get rid of it. I want to hug you. Prakash, I love you.
